Airports Fiji Limited manages and operates 13 smaller airports on the outer islands of Fiji.
These are Labasa, Savusavu, Taveuni, Rotuma, Koro, Gau, Bureta, Vanuabalavu, Lakeba, Ono-i-Lau, Cicia, Moala and Kadavu.
Labasa and Savusavu are located on Fiji's second largest island, Vanua Levu, and are increasingly becoming popular tourist destinations with Savusavu boasting one of the best scenic harbors in Fiji. Matei Airport is located on Taveuni, a picturesque volcanic island situated on the North East of the Fiji Group with lush tropical vegetation, through which the International Dateline passes. Taveuni is widely known as the Garden Island of Fiji, with some of the most unique flora in the world and a lake at the crater of its highest peak which is home to the unique ‘Tagimoucia flower’.
