Outer Islands

Airports Fiji Limited manages and operates 13 smaller airports on the outer islands of Fiji.

These are Labasa, Savusavu, Taveuni, Rotuma, Koro, Gau, Bureta, Vanuabalavu, Lakeba, Ono-i-Lau, Cicia, Moala and Kadavu.

Labasa and Savusavu are located on Fiji's second largest island, Vanua Levu, and are increasingly becoming popular tourist destinations with Savusavu boasting one of the best scenic harbors in Fiji. The influx of tourists has  seen the rise in the number of world class hotels and restaurants hosting many of the worlds rich and famous personalities who find the idyllic setting of Savusavu the place to get away to from the hustles of the world.

Matei Airport is located on Taveuni, a picturesque volcanic island situated on the North East of the Fiji Group with lush tropical vegetation, through which the International Dateline passes. Taveuni is widely known as the Garden Island of Fiji, with some of the most unique flora in the world and a lake at the crater of its highest peak which is home to the unique ‘Tagimoucia flower’. A number of exclusive resorts are dotted along its coastline

Daily flights to these uniquely Fijian towns are available from both Nadi and Nausori Airports.
